OVERALL: TARGET NOT MET

Description of projected use of results from the 2012-2013 academic year that is being addressed in the 2013-2014 academic year: Planning earlier made the process of Open Campus run much smoother.

Description of any changes for improvements which were made during the course of the 2013-2014 academic year: We updated the photos and information on our table top boards.

Description of the expected use of results that will be addressed in the 2014-2015 academic year: Fell short of goal, but still a positive move forward. A larger faculty presence at Open Campus Days will offer the potential student a more personal experience.

Academic Engagement and Achievement

Enhance curriculum for recruitment strategy

Include HEDU 1501 Modern Dance Techniques in the rotation of University Options in the Core curriculum. This course will serve as a pipeline to recruit students into the degrees Dance Emphasis and expose students to our dance curriculum

Measure enrollments in the HEDU classes and average those numbers against the enrollments in DNCE 1501 our programs Dance Fundamentals class, and other lower division Dance courses

80% enrollment in HEDU 1501 for Spring 2014

TARGET NOT MET

In our first semester we offered one section with the capacity of 15 students. The course was enrolled at 14 students.

We plan on offering another section on the fall and if that class fills at or over capacity we will offer multiple sections in the spring.

We did not measure growth in the program since we are currently no not have any fulltime faculty. We have noticed a 28% drop in DNCE enrollment after our Assistant Professor of resigned Fall 2013.

OVERALL: TARGET NOT MET

Description of projected use of results from the 2012-2013 academic year that is being addressed in the 2013-2014 academic year: We are looking at enrollment numbers in Dance classes versus the enrollment in the core specifically HEDU. We want to know if we can offer more HEDU 1501 courses without under enrolling current HEDU offerings, and determine if higher enrollments in Modern Dance offered through Health and Wellness can help attract students to the major dance classes.

Description of any changes for improvements which were made during the course of the 2013-2014 academic year: We decided to only offer one section to start.

Description of the expected use of results that will be addressed in the 2014-2015 academic year: We hope to offer more sections of HEDU 1501 and begin to analyze the changes in enrollment in our major dance classes.
